Note from Heather: My cousin requested a newborn sized Aurora Borealis colors sweater. This is what I made her. Her husband plays the base in a band and I couldn't do traditional pastel colors. She had already knitted 3 newborn sweaters and I need space for the guitar. So the little guy is due at the end of December and he should be rocking this sweater next fall.

Brown Sweater for a Baby
Note from Heather: I saw Sara knitting this pattern and I wanted to try it. I bought undyed English wool and it worked great for the sweater. I gave it to my cousin for her baby. I knitted a 3-6 month size. Her baby looks to be peanut sized so I'm hoping he'll be using it before winter ends.

Wicked!
Note from Janet: This was a fun and easy pattern! I used a little bit heavier yarn, but it is so soft and warm! I bought the yarn on a girls' trip to Cedar Falls w/ Heather and Addison, then I had to find the store a 2nd time (thought they were moving a week after we were there, but they were still in the same location over a month later!) to get more yarn. I only used the last ball of yarn for the pocket, but it was so worth it!!

Green Sweater
Note from Heather: I used Lion Brand Thick and Quick yarn. I bought 2 skeins of the green "grass" yarn in WI. I used my stash to add some stripes because I was nervous that 2 skeins wasn't enough for the sweater. I was right. I sent my mom back to her Michaels store and I ventured to 2 stores. My friend Diana finally found the yarn in Minneapolis. I was hoping the thicker yarn and larger needle size would work on this pattern that I like so much! It didn't.

Eli's Christmas Sweater
Note from Janet: I got away with only making one sweater this year since Luke could wear one of Eli's from a previous year that my sister had made. I thought I was so on top of things finishing it 2 weeks before this first Christmas program (last year's vests for both boys were completed 2 hrs before their first program!) but I failed to try it on him before we went to the auditorium and it would not go over his head!! After some screaming (Eli, not me, but I was close) I got out my Swiss Army knife and cut it. Just loosening up the BO row did the trick. Okay, okay, I get it, I BO too tightly!!!
