Mittens for Me
Note from Heather: I made myself something! I had only 1 skein of the striped yarn as that is all the store had. And it was $16 a skein! I used leftover Cashmerion Aran for the wrists and I'm glad I did otherwise I wouldn't have had enough yarn for the thumbs. I did have to use some of the Cashmerino Aran for the thumbs. This is Janet's Warmest Mitten pattern. This also happened to be the 50th completed project for 2010. My goal was achieved!

Love this yarn!
Note from Janet: I loved this yarn so much that it took me a year to make a hat, scarf, mitten set out of it. I know that sounds crazy, but I loved this hat pattern that was a lot of work, but I figured I might as well take the time to do it w/ this great yarn. The colors are perfect (2shades of gray and 2 shades of brown) for me, the neutral loving gal :) I made the mittens next, from my trusty mitten pattern. It took me a while to find a scarf pattern that I loved to go with it and then I found the rib and cable scarf - 3 ribs and cable down the side. This is a great set that goes with anything - dressy, casual, white, cream, brown... It's my fav!!

Mittens and Scarf to go with BR hat
Note from Janet: I bought a ball of cream yarn, used a little of the leftover green and got a hat, mittens, scarf set for about $10! I love how thick and toasty warm they are!

Miss Nancy's mittens
Note: I made a pair of these mittens for Addison's Sunday school teacher. I actually followed the directions this time and they ended up too long. I'm blaming the yarn. Miss Nancy likes them and uses them. She says she can keep her hands extra warm because there is room to wear a pair of gloves underneath.

Mittens for the teacher
Note from Heather: Addison's preschool teacher received this pair of Warmest Mittens. They sure were warm when I tried them on!
