A Cowl for a Little Girl

Note from Kristin:  I made a cowl for Imrie, thinking it could help keep her warm sledding.  She did wear it grocery shopping once, but refuses to try it on at home to humor me.  Aubrey modeled it.

Marian the Librarian

Note from Janet: I requested a skein of Cascade Magnum for Christmas in no particular color, but love this dark purple!! It went super fast, in between all my Christmas clean-up and toy assembly. I love huge yarn and fast projects :)

wham bam thank you Spud & Chloe

Note from Janet:  I made a hat last weekend that turned out to be way too small for me and needed something quick to redeem myself! I don't know how I didn't notice how small the hat was until I was done, but it was supposed to be for me and it barely fits my 10 mo old niece! So, I was at The Yarn Basket the next day, picked up a skein of Spud & Chloe outer and had no idea what I wanted to make w/ it. This was perfect! It barely took me 2 hrs and I love it! I don't want to take it off!! I even have some yarn in my stash that is varigated almost this same color and browns... maybe a hat or some fingerless mitts?

5th Avenue Cowl

Note from Janet: I got a free ball of yarn from Caron Country yarn on Facebook and how well they must know me -- they sent me charcoal! Yeah!! I bought a second ball of it to complete this and I love it! It was super easy (4 row pattern) and knit in a round - my favorite! I really like how it looks wrapped 3 times and will probably wear it like that most often.

A Cowl for an Aunt

Note from Heather:  My aunt found this pattern on the website of Crazy Girl Yarn Shop.  We sometimes meet there to get together as it is between our houses.  I told her if she bought the yarn that I'd knit it.  She was excited.  It took 3 skeins of a bulky alpaca yarn and lots of knit stitch.  Super quick!  She says she loves it.  She recently emailed to say she felt she was being stalked at Walmart after she wouldn't sell it to a lady that was admiring it.
