Knit Dishcloths to relieve stress
Hermoine Hat
Note from Heather: Kristin knit this hat for her sister Brooke and mailed it far far away. Brooke traveled from Australia to South Korea to pick it up.

Miss Nancy's mittens
Note: I made a pair of these mittens for Addison's Sunday school teacher. I actually followed the directions this time and they ended up too long. I'm blaming the yarn. Miss Nancy likes them and uses them. She says she can keep her hands extra warm because there is room to wear a pair of gloves underneath.

Mittens for the teacher
Note from Heather: Addison's preschool teacher received this pair of Warmest Mittens. They sure were warm when I tried them on!
A Hat for the Teacher
Note from Heather: Addison gave this hat to Mrs. Reeves - the assistant teacher in her classroom. Addison wants a hat just like it. So I bought some cute pink yarn and matching button. Addison informed me she wants hers to be the same color as Mrs. Reeves' hat.

Tassel hats for sisters
Note from Heather: These hats were knitted with the same yarn. The stripes appear different because of the size of the hats.

A Scarf for the Teacher
Note from Janet: Here's my other teacher scarf to go w/ the brown fingerless mits. This yarn is so soft and warm, but I don't like knitting w/ "fun" yarn that doesn't give. My sister made me a whole poncho out of this yarn and every time I worked on the scarf, I would thank her again for my favorite poncho!
A Mallard and A Sherbert pair of slipper socks
Note from Janet: Here are my 2nd pair of slipper socks that I made w/ leftover yarn. They're not the cutest thing I've ever made! On the pic that I'm not wearing them, the bottom one reminds me of Baskin Robbins rainbow sherbet - raspberry, orange and pineapple. The top one looks like a mallard duck! At first I thought pumpkin w/ the orange and green, but as soon as I looked at the pic I took, it's a duck!
Note from Heather: I hope Santa brings Janet some felting yarn for Christmas.
11 prayer shawls
Note from Heather: I was delighted that there were 11 prayer shawls to be blessed by our minister. Our Prayer Shawl Presbyterians group was formed less than 3 months ago. I believe we are doing a good thing and can't wait for people to receive these gifts.

Slippers for Charlotte
Note from Heather: I let Charlotte pick out colors for her slippers. She picked bluebell and chartreuse to remind her of the sky and grass. I had a bit of fun with them by changing the stripes on the foot. Charlotte is in college so I thought she'd have fun with them. They remind me of Dr. Seuss. Oh the places Charlotte will go!

Thank You Mittens
Note from Janet: I made these for my sister in exchange for letting me raid her yarn stash/leftovers to make teacher gifts - see purple and brown fingerless mits and scarves, but shhh, don't tell :)
Fingerless Mits
Note from Janet: Super easy pattern and I love that I can make them to match an equally easy garter knit scarf!

for a coworker's baby.
